Hi, I'm Luke

I’m an environmental and animal advocate focused on developing collaborative, high-impact approaches to spread awareness and help build a more peaceful and sustainable future. My advocacy efforts are grounded in the principles of empathic communication, effective altruism, and the growth mindset. I’m especially interested in approaches that encourage thoughtful discussion, reduce polarization, and create meaningful ripple effects.Much of my work centers around what I think of as “exponential advocacy” or ripple-effect advocacy: creating projects, events, discussions, and media with the potential to inspire far-reaching positive change. This includes developing “copyable” outreach approaches, empowering others to lead, and sharing resources that spread on their own.
Public Film Screenings
Hosting thought-provoking documentary screenings designed to encourage reflection, discussion, and greater public awareness around animal ethics, sustainability, health, and human behavior. Our model focuses on scalability, collaboration, and ripple effects. We plan to continue building new partnerships with reputable nonprofits while expanding events into new cities by helping other advocates lead screenings.By remaining curious and continually experimenting with new documentaries, outreach approaches, media, and PR strategies, we aim to better understand the most effective ways to engage the public and inspire meaningful conversation around these issues.

Influencing Influencers
(People, Platforms & Communities with Influence)
Building thoughtful relationships and collaborative outreach strategies with creators, public figures, media, and online communities to help spread awareness around animal ethics, sustainability, public health, and effective advocacy. This project dials in on high ripple-effect opportunities: ideas, conversations, and media with the potential to influence large audiences and inspire broader cultural discussion. We’re continually developing collaborative databases and outreach systems where advocates from around the world can share ideas, research, and thoughtful approaches for engaging influential voices. Even a single meaningful conversation, documentary recommendation, or shift in perspective can create far-reaching ripple effects for animals, people, and the planet.

Building Campus Advocacy Networks
Establishing vegan and animal advocacy organizations on college campuses (where none currently exist) through mentorship, outreach, collaboration, and connection with existing nonprofit networks. We believe universities are one of the most important environments for creating long-term cultural change. By helping students build thoughtful, sustainable advocacy communities early in life, these new student organizations can create lasting ripple effects through education, outreach, leadership development, and peer influence.Whenever possible, we help establish campus groups as chapters of Allied Scholars for Animal Protection (ASAP), an exceptional nonprofit helping build unified infrastructure for effective and sustainable animal advocacy on college campuses. ASAP offers invaluable mentorship, organizational support, educational resources, outreach experience, and long-term community for student advocates. However, we believe it’s important not to push or make decisions for student organizations we are helping to establish, so we make a point to clearly communicate from the start that they are the decision-makers, and we’re happy to support them in whatever direction they choose to take their new organization. Their unique visions, passions, and approaches are part of what make strong advocacy communities so meaningful, creative, and capable of evolving over time.

This is just the tip of the iceberg — many more projects, resources, writings, and collaborations will be added to the site soon.In the meantime, please feel free to connect on social media (links below 👇) or send an email.
